Strong Female Characters for the win!!!

Hi guys!
How is it Monday again already? 🙇🏼‍♀️ I’m not a fan of Mondays. But I’m working on it. I’m hoping a really good playlist will help me not be cranky today. 😬😂

In random news, my niece turned 2 on Friday. She’s growing WAAAAAYYY too fast. But she’s an adorable little munchkin, so it’s forgivable. ❤️ The day job has been kind of nuts, but Somehow,
I finished three books this week!
In order, they are:

Sanctuary by Carolyn Lix
Not my favorite read for sci-fi, but not bad. I’m curious as to where the story will go from here, but it felt kind of like an Illuminae files/Zenith wannabe. Not in a bad way really, but it just didn’t grab me as much as I wish it had. Solid 3 1/2 Stars, and I hope the sequel gets better. 😬

Amber Eyes by S D Grimm
WHAT THE HECK?! I need the sequel (Black Blood, a pic from the cover reveal is on my insta, feel free to gawk at the pretty!!) NOW. WHY do we have to wait until January?! Needless to say, Amber Eyes is quite a ride, if you haven’t read it or the first book in the series Scarlet Moon, YOU SHOULD!!

Bright We Burn by Kiersten White
I’m such a sucker for genderbent historical YA. Because Vlad the Impaler as a girl is the BEST. This book was an AWESOME ending to a favorite  historical series of mine, and I’m sooo excited for her next book, The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein!

As a fun note, ALL of the above titles feature epic female characters, and my little girl power loving  heart is very happy. 😍

I’m hoping to get a few more books crossed off my tbr list this week, you’ll have to check back next week to see which ones. 😉❤️
Until next Monday, nerds!

Hobbit Queen out. 😘
